IMSD Fellows win outstanding poster presentation awards at MU’s Life Sciences Week!

IMSD Fellows Maha Hamed, senior, and Paxton Kostos, junior, both won outstanding poster presentation awards at the Life Sciences Week awards ceremony on Friday.  Maha’s poster titled “Role of Salicylic Acid in Immune Responses in Arabidopsis Clathrin-Coated Vesicle Mutants” was awarded 2nd place among the 80 undergraduate posters judged for Life Sciences Week, and Paxton’s poster titled “Dilineating Constitutive Callose Defect in Dynamin Network Mutants” was awarded 3rd place among the undergraduates.  Both Maha and Paxton conduct their research in Dr. Antje Heese’s Biochemistry lab.
