IMSD Fellow Maha Hamed presents for MU IPG’s “Plant Talks” series

IMSD senior Fellow Maha Hamed gave an outstanding presentation of her research for MU’s Interdisciplinary Plant Group’s “Plant Talks” series last week in the Bond Life Sciences Center.  Maha presented her research project to a packed room, the first undergraduate researcher invited to present at Plant Talks.  Her research project, “Understanding the Role of Salicylic Acid in Arabidopsis Clathrin-Coated Vesicle Mutants”, won an Outstanding Poster Presentation Award at the 2017 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students in Phoenix, AZ and 3rd place in the Plant & Animal Physiology category during Life Sciences Week 2018.  Maha has worked in Dr. Antje Heese’s Biochemistry lab for the last 3 years.
